Mayhem Rugby is a member of International Gay Rugby. We primarily play rugby with other members of IGR and local non-IGR teams. We compete in the biennial Mark Kendall Bingham Memorial Tournament, or Bingham Cup. Minneapolis hosted the Bingham Cup in 2010.
Mayhem Rugby is active year round. No prior rugby or sport experience is required to join. We gladly welcome beginners and love teaching them how to play! Contact us for more info.

Memberships
Join anytime, year round! We have two membership levels for those who want to be part of the club and a fan club for those who want to stay up-to-date on all things Mayhem! Our club is a friendly, welcoming, and safe environment for those looking for community. The club is active year round with so that we can maintain our strong bond and sense of community. Player Membership
This is a seasonal membership (fall & spring) that's perfect for those who want to get in on the action! All levels of experience are welcome and we love to teach those who have no prior experience playing rugby! Matches are always on Saturdays, and home matches are typically at the Eagan Community Center rugby fields. For away matches, the Team will book hotel rooms for players and help cover part of the cost. Players often car pool to reduce travel expenses. Away matches have included: * Madison, WI * Milwaukee, WI * Chicago, IL * NORAM Cup (North American biennial Cup) * The Bingham Cup (IGR biennial Cup) Mayhem practices twice a week during the fall & spring seasons. During winter, the team hosts fitness practices. Players are also encouraged participate in the events listed under Social Membership.

Social Membership
This is a laidback, annual membership that's perfect for those who want to join in on the fun but don't want the full commitment of playing. Social members can participate in all our events like: Team Bonding Activities: * Cabin retreat * Movie nights * River tubing * Polar Plunge * Pride nights with other Minnesota sports teams * And much more! Fundraising & Recruiting: * Pride booths (Twin Cities Pride & suburbs) * Walking in the Twin Cities Pride Parade * Miss Mayhem Drag Show * Car Wash * Themed Beer Busts Matches & practices: * Join Mayhem for social meet ups with other teams * Help with set up & running matches * After practice socials (dinner & drinks) * Practice - cannot participate in contact but can do fitness portion or help with various tasks

Have you ever wanted to learn how to play rugby? Come join The Minneapolis Mayhem for our annual Rugby 101 event! Learn the basics of what rugby is, what we do, and how we play! We will be at Oak Hill Park on Saturday, July 18th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm with food and drinks afterwards! Our fall season practices will start shortly after!

This is a 15s Rugby Tournament with IGR Teams. There is a meet up with other teams on Friday night, and the Tournament is Saturday. Join Mayhem for our Tropical Tundra themed beer bust! $15 entry ($10 for social members) gets you the wristband for the beer! Come dressed in your favorite tropical gear, and celebrate the return of warm weather with us!
Mayhem Rugby & Menagerie Ruby will be hosting a night of celebration to honor our trans members and supporters! This event is open to the public.
All experience levels are welcome and encouraged to attend our spring practices! We are a friendly and welcoming group that loves teaching new people about rugby! These practices are Monday evenings from 6:30 - 8:30, and they are indoors at Bryn Mawr Elementary School in Minneapolis. Bring athletic clothes, shoes, and a water bottle. Miss Mayhem Annual Drag Show fundraiser! We will be serving it up at The Saloon on Saturday, February 28th at 5:00pm! More details on this year's queens will be shared closer to the event on our social media! We will have a beer bust and Jell-o shots. You can tip the queens via cash or the team's Venmo. Come spend the evening with us and let’s have a ball!

What should I bring to my first practice?
Coaches will help you figure out the proper type of cleats, shorts, mouth guard, and socks (for matches). So, it is best if you wait to purchase these items until you have met with a coach first.
What is the best option if I'm not sure I want to join?
Other options, if you don't want to play rugby, are to become a social member or join our fan club. We understand that rugby isn't for everyone, but we still love our social members and fans!
