Since 2005, Minneapolis Mayhem Rugby has strived to be a club that promotes participation in rugby by traditionally underrepresented groups, including gay/bi men and trans people. We provide an inclusive environment in which members of diverse communities can learn the laws and practice of rugby and have the opportunity to compete at local, regional, national, and international venues. Mayhem Rugby develops the sport of rugby for
all regardless of their age, gender, or sexuality to reduce barriers and create a more inclusive sport for all.
Mayhem Rugby is a member of
International Gay Rugby. We primarily play rugby with other members of IGR and local non-IGR teams. We compete in the biennial Mark Kendall Bingham Memorial Tournament, or
Bingham Cup. Minneapolis hosted the Bingham Cup in 2010.
Mayhem Rugby is active year round. No prior rugby or sport experience is required to join. We gladly welcome beginners and love teaching them how to play! Contact us for more info.
Minneapolis Mayhem Rugby Football Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a member of the Minnesota Rugby Union.
